Summary:
The Cloud Engineer will provide engineering expertise in building, securing, and optimizing cloud infrastructure for DHS CISA. This role focuses on deploying mission-critical workloads in compliant environments while supporting modernization and Zero Trust initiatives.
Responsibilities

Deploy and manage workloads in AWS GovCloud and Azure Gov.

Automate provisioning, configuration, and monitoring using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools.

Implement Zero Trust and FedRAMP-compliant security configurations.

Troubleshoot cloud infrastructure issues and optimize performance.

Collaborate with architects, developers, and security engineers to align cloud solutions with DHS mission needs.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

5+ years of experience in cloud engineering or cloud operations.

Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or hybrid cloud environments.

Strong understanding of DHS, NIST, and FedRAMP cloud security standards.

Experience with IaC tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
